A driver, yet to be identified has fled soon after a bus he was driving got involved in accident at 9am Thursday morning.
Eyewitnesses say the Isuzu bus, registration number UAZ 321W belonging to Highway coaches failed to climb a slope due to mechanical problems before reversing and overturning.
The incident that happened along Rukungiri-Kanungu road withing Rukungiri town left 16 people injured.
The victims, according to police have been rushed to Nyakibale Hospital.
The police note that the driver is on the run while the matter has been recorded Vide TAR 01/2020 of Rukungiri.
