Days later, the family of Emily Namara, is yet to come to terms with her death. Namara, with a very innocent look, died sometime last week.
However, acting on reports from the neighbors suggesting that she had died inside her house, local authorities and the police responded to the call, on Saturday morning and broke into her house.
On accessing the Namugongo house, her body laid, motionless. She had died. It is then that her body was taken to the city mortuary for postmortem.
However, according to neighbors, prior to her death, she had turned into a habitual drunkard. Besides, according to her ex-boyfriend, she had been on drugs while still at Makerere University.
“I don’t know if by the time of her death she had quit it,” Namamra’s ex, who preferred to speak to us on condition of anonymity said.
Namara, an old girl of St. Joseph’s Girls School, Nsambya and former, Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development internee graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA).
She will be laid to rest at her ancestral home in Ntungamo district Monday.
