Irrefutable sources have placed in us that the police are hunting for two armed men alleged to have attacked C-Assian Mining Company at Kitoomi, taking gold and property.
Lidehyn, 45, a Chinese national in a statement Vide CRB: 009/2020 of Ibanda Police Station said gold worth Shs10m and property valued at Shs28m were taken by his attackers in an incident that happened at 1am in the morning of January 2, 2020.
Whereas the police are yet to officially comment on the matter, a senior police detective who preferred to remain anonymous, told this news site that five people have been arrested to aid investigation.
The armed men, suspected to be officers attached to Uganda Wildlife Authority remain at large.
