In trouble: Fr. Olaboro
Late Benard Omuse’s Children Want Great Aubrey Memorial School Demolished, their ancestral land vacated
By Nathan Ngobi
More troubles and misery continue haunting Tororo archdiocese’s Catholic priest Fr. Centurio Olaboro as now the latest is that his biological family members have dragged him to court for alleged land grabbing and fraud.
Rev. Fr. Olaboro Centurio is the head of peace at the catholic diocese of Tororo but the opposite is what takes place in his biological father’s Omuse Benard family over land which accusations are centered on the diocese peace maker.

According to court summons received on 7th August 2023 by Fr. Centurio Olaboro’s lawyers the Ssemwanga , Muwazi and Company Advocates in Kampala a copy seen by this news publications in a civil suit No 024 /2023 led by Okedi David Omuse Olaboro’s young brother, Akoth Agnes his sister and Omoding Jethero all beneficiaries and children of the late Omuse Benard want court to order the cancellation of the land title where Great Aubrey Memorial college seats ,the school be demolished and vacate their late father’s land so that all the children get their shares.

It is alleged that Fr. Centurio Olaboro reportedly used his position as the eldest son and surveyed their family land, and got titles without the consent of all the family members after establishing the schools.
He is also accused of registering the land titles in his names alone and that of his school Great Aubrey Memoria college.
“Okedi David Omuse , Akoth Agnes and Omoding Jethero vs Rev. Fr. Centurio Olaboro and the management committee of Great Aubrey Memorial College in a civil suit no 024 0f 2023 at Tororo high court, the Okedi group represented by M/S Ekirapa and Company advocates at Uhuru drive Tororo asserts to court in a declaration that Fr. Centurio Olaboro is intermeddling with the estate of the late Omuse Benard, also that an order for cancellation of the certificate of title for the land comprised in FRV HQT 1244,Folio 9 (Block Road) 5 plot 1576 at UCI Tororo County , Tororo District (hereafter called the suit land) measuring approximately 4 acres.

The declaration that the suit land forms the estate of the late Omuse Benard so an order against Great Aubrey Memorial college to vacate possession of the suit land and a permanent injunction restraining Rev. Fr. Olaboro and his school Great Aubrey Memorial college, their agents’ servants, assignees and or successors in title from intermeddling with the estate of the late Omuse Benard. Read parts of the court documents that were served to Olaboro through his lawyers Ssemwanga, Muwazi and Co. Advocates.
In the documents it further states that the late Omuse Benard left behind 15 children with 4 acres of land located at UCI Central village, Ticaf ward Osukuru sub county Tororo district and ever since in 1979 no one was allowed to apply for the letters of administration while as his estate remained intact never distributed to date.
Some of the late Omuse Benard’s offspring include Okedi David Omuse, Akoth Agnes, Omoding Jethero, Omuse Peter, Nicholas Oporia, Apio Rose, Akello Florence, Omuse Stephen Osilai, Omuse Benard Omuse, Amuge Speciota and Olaboro Centurio.
Akoth Agnes narrates: –

According to Akoth Agnes one of Rev. Fr. Olaboro’s biological sister who is among the complainants demanding Fr. Olaboro to give them their family land shares narrates her ordeal.
Fr. Olaboro is our eldest brother born in 1958 followed by Magret in 1962 and myself Akoth 1963 and many other children of the late Benard Omuse .
According to Akoth her mother Awino Polline was the second wife after Cecilia Amojong and on 15th January 1979 their father Omuse Benard passed on.
A granddaughter was named Cissy Amojong after her grandmother and soon we shall expose details about her because there is demand for a DNA test with her biological father in the family.
Back to Akoth Agnes she said that life became hard in the hands of Fr. Olaboro who kept on torturing her day and night until she was forced into marriage in 1982 in Kenya.
However, after one year in Kenya she came to check on her family but Fr. Olaboro chased her out of their matrimonial home.
She said that Fr. Olaboro took her to Budaka in 1992 for a tailoring course but later she got married in Bugerere, where life was also hard and on return to UCI village to her father’s home Fr. Olaboro came from his Lumino parish and invited their uncle John Peter Okware aka Ogil to chase her.
“Fr. Olaboro warned our uncle never to allow me at the matrimonial home and later on beat me up in the presence of our uncle, that is when I realized that although Fr. Olaboro puts on like catholic priests but is nothing Godly in him at all” Akoth Agnes narrated.
She said that following several beatings and torture in the hands of Rev. Fr. Olaboro opted to seek redress from her Karwoko Lokopung clan leaders headed by Mzee Ochwo Christopher and also reported the matter to Tororo justice centre.
She said that during the clan head meeting Rev. Fr. Olaboro came and instead abused all the leaders for wasting their time to hold a meeting on matters of family land and Akoth Agnes in particular.
However since he was also summoned by the centre for justice in Tororo he sent 1million through Kefa Othieno the area LC1 chairman asking him to deliver it to Akoth as they look forward to settle the matter outside the justice centre.
In attempts to demand for the portion of our late dad’s land it is on record that Fr. Olaboro arrested and detained on top of physiological torture of his young brother Okedi David Omuse at police in Tororo Akoth Agnes added.
Akoth’s suffering story in the hands of Rev. Fr. Olaboro is a long one and we shall expose it in our subsequent articles however she says that she demands a portion of her right on the land left behind by her biological late father Omuse Benard that is allegedly grabbed by Fr. Olaboro.
Okedi David Omuse gives his ordeal: –
According to Okedi David Omuse the youngest son left by late Omuse and the biological brother the same mother with Rev. Fr. Olaboro narrated to the Second Opinion that they started complaining about their so-called religious brother Rev. Fr. Olaboro way back in 2007 .
On march 02nd 2007 Okedi David Omuse, Oporia Nicholas , and other children of late Benard Omuse dragged their brother Rev. Fr. Olaboro tp LC1 court for allegedly grabing their late father’s land without giving them their shares.
The area LC1 chairman Othieno Kefa then wrote a letter dates same day and referred them to the land board Osukuru sub county for help.
“The above named persons are true residents of the UCI central zone, Osukuru sub county Tororo District .They complain that their elder brother father Olaboro Centurio has denied them their father’s land and instead decided to construct a school on it leaving them with no share at all. We are therefore sending them to you for assistance” read parts of the signed letter by Kefa Othieno the LC1 chairman.
However, Okedi David Omuse went to Osukuru sub county and met the chairperson of the area land committee one Olupot but shockingly without calling for the meeting of both the aggrieved party and Rev. Fr. Olaboro, a response letter written on the same date by Rev. Fr. Olaboro came out with threats claiming that no need of confusion on Omuse Benard’s family land.
“ No confusion on family land, think about Luke 4:3 the devil said to him “if you are God’s son, order this stone to turn into bread” My thoughts for those who listen to me have been success I have pushed each one to hard work, you know I work hard myself.
Listen to me and learn from me and we shall all succeed, NO TRICKS being a law student myself, I have taken all precaution on the land issues as well. If I die, I shall not leave you in any confusion on the issues of land.
The fact that land is bought in individual names is to hide the identity of my priesthood in the help I give you to the school, for history the source of the funds and foundation for which the land is bought is attached to the land agreements in the file.
The school is the owner of the land and the Will I have is clear about that (the registrar of Will) No confusion on land in the family” read Olaboro’s reply letter that he claimed was copied to all the Omuse family members.
Okedi told us that in 2005 he bought his personal land from Bazil Elungatand his son Emwangane Godfrey from the same area UCI central zone on 25th July 2005 at 700,000/- cash.
However, Rev. Fr. Olaboro later forged documents that he bought the same land later and claim ownership.
He said that several neighbours are complaining that Rev. Fr. Olaboro surveyed parts of their land , and as a family he (Olaboro) got some money from Tororo cement factory as a compensation of people neighboring the factory but instead he banked the money on his personal account of Uganda martyrs orphans project (UMOP) Tororo which money and bags of cement plus iron sheets were never given to the family members up to now.
It is also alleged that Fr. Olaboro uses the same account to con the whites lying to them that he cares to orphans as they send untaxed money for his personal use since the children in his school pay fees added Okedi.
Okedi according to him regardless of the above he wants his elder brother Rev. Fr. Olaboro to give shares to all the beneficiaries of Omuse Benard their land since for him he opted for priesthood where he will be buried in Nyangole at the Tororo catholic diocese land and therefore he has no share and no need for fight rightful beneficiaries.
“A will is written and passed over to the children now if Rev. Fr. Olaboro wrote a Will, it is in whose favor? Since he said that he hides in priesthood we are worried that he could give out our land in a will to people he has not shown us” Said Okedi David Omuse.
Ochwo Christopher Iyala the clan head irons out Omuse Benard family land conflict:-

Christopher Iyala Ochwo is the clan head of Karwoko Lokopung and a cousin brother of Rev. Fr. Olaboro he narrated his ordeal when we visited him and took us around Great Aubrey school where we met Rev. Fr. Olaboro physically at the gates of the schhol but they never greeted each other .
According to Ochwo he is the area chairman of LC1 Amagolo B zone and as cousins he grew up with Rev. Fr. Olaboro together.
“I grew up with Fr. Olaboro and we used to have sex in the same room with girls , he used to urinate on bed and I could beat him , even now if we met he knows I can just beat as I punish my brother, his issues are women and land grabbing that is what spoited him quote me rightly” Ochwo told this news publication.
He said that daudi Isabit was the grand father of the Rev. Fr. Olaboro , Isabit was a brother to Iyala the grand father of Ochwo.
He added that they produced children and from the upper part before you reach Graet Aubrey from Jinja side direction there were families and their land from Paul Oulet , Simon Kasiba, Omuse Benard (Olaboro’s father) , Oketch 14 , Iyala (that of Ochwo Christopher’s father) and Oluku Wilberforce.
Rose Awor and Okiru Geoffrey were the grand parents and Olaboro’s mother Cecilia Amojong used to make Malwa at her in-law’s place Iyala and because the families had unity while as Omuse Benard’s linage had only one boy they opted to have his son Olaboro go for priesthood.
Great Aubrey was started by his late sister Magret Anyakorit (Angoye) then Olaboro joined later.
He came to us and asked to use the land for a play ground to help the school project we agreed but instead he went ahead and fenced it then carried out land surveys without our consent creating confusion in the family.
We sat in a clan meeting called him to attend but on coming he abused us and left.
“Olaboro has confused all the families which were originally together and encroached on our land we want the school be demolished and each family get their shares.” Said Ochwo.
He vowed to go to court and testify against Olaboro for torturing his family over land.
Ochwo said that he registered a case at police of malicious damage against Olaboro and soon the file will be reinstated.
He said that the family is also conserned about an old woman a widow of John Okware Peter aka Ogil one Merensiana Adong whom Fr. Olaboro threw away from her later husbands’ land and house and now she is languishing in unknown location.
Fr. Olaboro attempts to give out land:-
In an attempt to cover up his atrocities on the family, Rev. Fr. Olaboro went and purportedly convened a meeting with his lawyer Kayondo Enock with documents that family members should sign to have agreed to share the land.
According to Okedi David Fr. Olaboro forged the documents with the aim of grabbing their family land.
The documents seen by this publication was signed by Olaboro’s lawyer Kayond Enock , the chairman Lc1 kefa Othieno and in attendance signed by elder Obore George Alfred with other Ochopa James Emonjong , Fr. Emuseet Chrisptoher, Okware a clan leader, Ayeet David a clan member, Ayapa Charles.
Others were Angura Sabastian , adilu Francis , Amuget specoiza , Okware Joseph and Okelop Alex.
Okedi David Omuse says that on the document the old widow was forced to sign by putting her thumb on the agreement between Rev. Fr. Centurio Olaboro and others who included Peter Omuse, Nicholas Oporia, Steven Omuse Osialai, Sikolasitika Irema Olupot , NBenard Omuse and Yosofina Akolong.
The document that gave powers to Fr. Olaboro to sue the family land had the names of Okedi David Omuse but inside the document Olaboro’s lawyer Enock Kayondo knowingly that Okedi David Omuse will not accept their nonsenses he instead drafted a clause that :-
“Mr. David Okedi Omuse shall be gien his piece of land and the same shall be mutated off the main certificate of title and therefore he shall have no claim over the remaining piece of the land.
That save for David Okedi Omuse who shall receive his beneficial shares over the after mentioned certificate of title , the rest of the parties agree that the remaining piece of land remains intact but divided and to be used for promoting the school business of Great Aubrey Memoria college and MA’s Junior school.
Thereafter upon mutual agreement and consensus on the correct sub division plan of the whole area, Fr. Centurio Olaboro shall sign transfer forms with all the relevant transfer documents in favor of Mr. Okedi David Omuse in respect of his beneficial shares” read the purported agreement.
Okedi says that there is no way Fr. Centurio Olaboro would sign any document on his behalf as if he is ouit of the country but the motive was to forge documents to grab the family land.
On this note we shall expose Ogil’s widow and her lamentation later in our follow up articles on Fr. Olaboro Centurio.
The document indicated that out of 4.748 acres forming part of the estate of the late, 4.197 was purchased jointly by Rev. Fr. Centurio Olaboro and Great Aubrey Memorial College while the remaining land be distributed as follows :- Ms Merensiana Adong the widow of Mr. Ogil John Peter got 0.400 acres, Mr. peter Omuse , 0.632 acres on which land he constructed his school Osukuru skills development institute.

While Mr. Nicholas Oporia, Akoth Agnes, Apio Rose and Akello Florence 0.693 acres.
Okedi David Omuse 0.601 acres , m/s Sikolasitika Irema Olupot 0.562 acres , Mama Yosofina Akolong , mr. Steven Omuse Osialai , Mr. Benard Omuse , Mrs Speciota Amuget , Margret Anyokorit , Jane Abila , Imelda Akware , Rev. Fr. Centurio Olaboro 1.960 acres.
Okedi asserted that all the above information dated 21 July 2020 was fake and forged and fraudulently aimed at grabbing the family land which was rejected by those in the court battles to get justice.
Olaboro’s lawyer Enock Kayondo speaks out.

We called Rev. Fr. Olaboro for comment of the accusations several times but he did not pick or turned back the calls even after knowing our phone numbers .
However, we contacted his lawyer Kayondo Enock who sounded like a baby crying for breast milk and bitterly told us that:-
First of all, we are not happy with your writings exposing the person of Fr. Olaboro in the media.
Write what you want, the matters are in court and once an issue is filed in court it becomes a public document, go to court and see for yourself and then publish the way you want.
That case is an old matter which was dismissed in Mbale and Tororo high court then they resurrected it recently through their lawyer Ekirapa of Tororo but we have filed our defense and defeat them.
We asked him if it is truly seeking for justice to defeat an old woman a widow who was chased out of her late husband’s land by a person claiming to be a Rev. Fr. With the family members crying for their land is that the justice you are looking for?
Kayondo instead went ahead uttering uncoordinated words far from the question.
“You have written defamatory stories about Fr. Olaboro but please go ahead and write more no worries” Kayondo sounded.
He went ahead and added that “We have put a defense and this time around we shall defeat them again……. lawyer Enock Kayondo who sounded breathing Puri furiously like a wounded buffalo then hanged up his phone.
However , after some time sent a whatsup message to his boss Fr. Olaboro and the message read.
“Ngobi called and I picked him. He told me he has learnt that your family have sued you over land you grabbed to found GANCO, I told him how disappointed we were with him .
We don’t think he is very intelligent anyway. I called out his extortionist behavior . He wanted information and I told him it’s a court matter now.
I told him the case was dismissed already and a new one was filed.
Court is a public place, let him go and obtain a copy of the plaint and also study our defense carefully to establish our position. I called out his extortionist behavior and told him there is no money we are to give him, I told him to get the documents from court since it’s public knowledge already amd whatever he reports shall be the extent of his intelligence .I reminded him that we served on him a notice of intention to sue in defamation”.
