By Francis Otucu

Fast growing Ruparelia owned, Premier Recruitment Ltd, at weekend and Tuesday flagged off 29 male Ugandans to work as Facility Cleaners in Qatar as well as 39 young ladies to work as domestic workers in Riyadh –Saudi Arabia under Saudi based prestigious Enaya Recruitment Agency respectively.

The 29 boys deployed to Qatar are the first group of a job order requiring 80 Ugandans as cleaners under Acciona Facility Company and the ladies deployed in Saudi Arabia are part of the group of over 200 that were about to leave the country before being stopped by the Pandemic Lock down and have since been living in Speke Resort Munyonyo Hotel for the last 3 weeks as they were going through trainings and document processing after they were recalled from their homes.

While Speaking to Premier Recruitment PR and Marketing Manager, Amon Baita, he excitedly noted that this is a realization that the labor externalization sector is fully open after going through suspension period by government for almost a year due to Covid-19 Pandemic. He bragged, “Premier recruitment this time round comes back with a bang in a well-organized manner to give Ugandans the best professional services in a more professional and reliable way.”

Baita added, “Covid Lockdown and suspension gave us good time to reflect and learn mistakes in the industry which in turn has made us organize ourselves to build structures and policies that will ensure better and timely service delivery to our customers with high levels of integrity, honesty and transparency with focus on big image and brand.”

The company has since resumption of business a few months back been able to secure jobs for over 100 cleaners, over 100 electrical and mechanical technicians, plumbers, carpenters and painters to work in Qatar-Doha and we are unveiling a big job order for over 600 Ugandans soon to work as Airport Workers in Dubai under the Fly Emirates airlines.

“We have interviews going on for different job orders including cleaners, painters and technicians especially to Qatar as well as a pending job order for over 100 taxi drivers to Abu-Dhabi and over 50 nurses to work in Saudi Arabia as bedside nurses whose interviews we plan to communicate soon,” Baita revealed

Baita said as a company, they are unveiling a rollercoaster countrywide campaign of getting down to the grass root where their target audience is concentrated mostly in villages and countryside towns.

“We boast of a big team of professional agents who are on standby to reach every corner of the country soon so that Ugandans based upcountry can start enjoying our good services once the campaign is rolled out,” he added.

Premier recruitment, a subsidiary of Rupaleria Group of Companies is currently focusing on reducing the problem of unemployment in the country that has since skyrocketed as a result of Covid19 lockdown. Baita revealed, the jobs mentioned above attract salaries between UGX1.2M to UGX4M, and above.

“We are fully aware of the situation many young Ugandans are going through after many of them lost jobs, businesses collapsed, rising number of school drop-outs as a result of Covid19 and as a professional human resource recruiting agency, we are striving to give Ugandans hope by soliciting for them job opportunities abroad that do not require high-end input/requirements and qualifications,”,Baita noted, adding, most of non-professional jobs require one to have completed at least S4 level and above whereas professional jobs require a certificate and above in that particular field.

For domestic workers to Saudi Arabia, one is only required to come with their National ID and a few other requirements like LC1 Introduction letter. One has to speak English. Others are taken care of by the company. For ladies, you have to be between ages 21-38 to secure jobs in Saudi Arabia.

Baita also said that as a company, Premier recruitment ensures that candidates who apply for these jobs are deployed in the respective countries on time and the input is more affordable for them since many of them have not been working.

He encouraged members of the public to hurry and register for ongoing interviews to take up the currently available job opportunities but also apply by registering with the company at their head offices located at Crane Chambers 1st floor, Kampala road so that the company can do what it takes, to get them the jobs readily available.

According to the recent statistics, the annual remittances from over 165,000 Ugandan migrant workers in the Middle East alone into the country has grown to over $700m (Shs2.6 trillion) and domestically, the sector is contributing direct employment opportunities to over 4,000 Ugandans through the over 200 licensed labor externalizing companies.

Furthermore, the migrant workers in the Middle East are contributing substantially to their families through construction of houses and paying of school fees.

The other benefits Baita highlighted include; improvement in incomes of the migrant workers and acquisition of new and positive work ethics and skills.

“The migrant workers in the Middle East are contributing substantially to their families through construction of houses and paying of school fees for their children and relatives,” he noted.

Premier recruitment is a professional recruitment agency licensed with the Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Development for both internal and external employment that is famously known for connecting suitable employment opportunities both in the region and abroad to young Ugandans seeking to be employed.
