Uganda People’s Defense Forces Land Forces Commander, Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu last Saturday told his visitors that God asked him never to talk about Kasese.
This was after journalists put to him if he was repenting from the Kasese attack on Rwenzururu Kingdom.
“Elohim told me not to answer any question about Kasese because the bible tells people not to judge or condemn anyone because none knows who is right in the world. I pity whoever has judged me,” he said.
The question was in relation to the raid on Rwenzururu King’s palace in Kasese on November 26, 2016. Over 50 people died while over 100 people, including Mumbere, were arrested.
Addressing a congregation as chief guest, President Yoweri Museveni asked Elwelu not to abandon his duties for prayers.
“Prayer is good, but don’t abandon your assignment,” he said.
