Men putting on civilian attire and speaking a mixture of Swahili and Rukiga have kidnapped two people in Kyabuyorwa, Northern Ward, Butogota town council in Kanungu before crossing over to neighboring DR Congo.
The victims have been identified as Eldard Twinomujuni, 31, and Ambrose Twinamatsiko, 27 while Jacob Niwagaba, 12 escaped midway.
Eyewitness narrate that the four men armed with an AK47 rifle and a panga tied a rope blocking the road, trapping their victims who were riding on boda boda.
“They shot 3 bullets in their air after crossing into DRC,” an eyewitness said.
The police say motorcycle registration number UEX 355L (Bajaji boxer) in which the latest victims of Kanungu kidnap were traveling in, has been recovered.
Inquiries are at hand, the police say.
