IN CRUTCHES: Archbishop Lwanga nursing fracture after staircase accident

 By Francis Otucu

The Archbishop of Kampala, Cyprian Kizito Lwanga is nursing a fractured leg, The Second Opinion exclusively reports.

Well-placed sources say he suffered the injury after he slid off the staircase at his Rubaga residence at the weekend.

The Church confirmed his injury in Latin at a meeting convened by Uganda Joint Christian Council at Mengo, Kampala.

Further, sources say, given the accident, he could not make it to Namugongo Martyrs Shrine where he was expected as main celebrant at a mass.

It is against the above background that diocese of Kasana-Luweero bishop, Bishop Paul Ssemogerere stood in for injured Bishop Lwanga.

His current state remains unclear.
