ISO boss vows to thwart anti-govt critics

The Deputy Director General Internal Security Organization (ISO), Lt.Col. Emmanuel Katabazi has challenged newly commissioned ISO operatives and UPDF officers to thwart anti-government critics   who intend to remove the sitting government through undemocratic means.

 He tasked the commissioned UPDF officers to work as a team to defend the ruling government against its opponent forces.

Addressing the newly commissioned  ISO operatives and UPDF officers at the Institute of Security and Intelligence studies in Entebbe, Lt Col. Emmy Katabazi, the Deputy Director General Internal Security Organization,  revealed that the UPDF is determined to defend the ruling  government against its political opponents.

He urged the newly commissioned UPDF officers to be in harmony with their wives if they are to defend the ruling government wholeheartedly.

He revealed that the government is committed to improving the welfare of UPDF officers in addition to constructing a security institute that is at International standard.

The commandant of the Institute of Security and Intelligence studies, Maj. Richard Tashobya Wazaarwa, tasked the newly commissioned officers to stick to pillars of NRM revolution and to avoid intrigue that is injurious to the revolution.

Lt. Gloria Adania, one of the newly commissioned officers, said despite going through a tough training for 9months, it enriched them with leadership skills which they will use to defend the ruling government.
