JLOS Pledges Police More Support

The Justice Law and Order Sector has pldged to continue the support to the Uganda Police Force.

Speaking a close of a two-week training for investigators at the CID Headquarters, Kibuli, Recho Odoi said: This isn’t the end of training.” She noted that following the training, will be resources to acquire tools that will ensure training is applied.

To this, she ensured continued support towards the force. Earlier, the Directorate of Public prosecution (DPP) agreed to have joint probes with the police in homicide cases.

The DPP also advised that their staff will attend High Court sessions and equip officers with tools for efficient and effective investigations.  

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola who presided over the event commended the initiative by JLOS. “Joint trainings is the way to go,” IGP Ochola said, adding, “Just like criminals cooperate to commit crime, we must cooperate to fight crime.”

The refresher course was held under the theme, ‘Enhancing Efficiency and Effectiveness In Investigations Through Training’
