Everesto Bizimana who was hacked four times on the head Sunday has passed on.
Sources say Bizimana, a resident of Bukompe Village, Kyakatebe Parish, Nalutuntu Sub-County in Kassanda succumbed to injuries Tuesday morning at Mubende Referral Hospital.
This after his cutting by private security guards armed with guns and machetes Sunday morning.
His widow, Agnes Nyiraguhirwa confirmed Bizimana’s death to this news site.
Explaining circumstances under which her hubby was hacked, Nyiraguhirwa said it was Sunday morning when the deceased, herself and children went to the garden.
A few hours later, she said, men known to be private guards to city tycoon Abid Alam went to the same garden before chasing down her hubby, cutting him four times on the head.
“They singled him out, chased and cut him several times using a panga,” she said, tearing.
Bizimana was first rushed to a Kyakatebe clinic before he was referred to Mubende Referral Hospital where he died Tuesday morning.
The incident comes barely a fortnight when Lands Minister, Betty Among issued a detective to Alam to stop evicting people at Bukompe Village (Block 308).
