Rukungiri police are hunting down Cleophas Twinomujuni, 25, in connection with the brutal killing of own sister named Allen Komuhangi, 30.
The suspect is said to have hacked to death Komuhangi in a land row.
Investigators say the incident happened February 3, 2020 when the deceased left her home at Omwitaba Village, Ndere Parish in Ruhinda Sub-County to go and pick coffee from a farm she was gifted by her late parents.
Little did she know that her younger brother was following her.
While there, Twinomujuni approached the field before slashing down her neck and arms.
He took off, leaving his sister for dead.
Having heard the struggle, a local resident, Brian Ainebyona rushed to the scene before notifying his LCI boss, Ambrose Mucunguzi who then alerted the police.
The police say the matter is being probed Vide CRB: 228/2020/Rukungiri.
