M7 holds Cabinet, COVID-19 taskforce meets today ahead of Tuesday address

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to hold a meeting of Cabinet and that of the COVID-19 taskforce Monday.

Well-placed sources say the meeting is to review measures recently put in place to curb the spread of the pandemic.

Don Wanyama, his senior press secretary confirmed the meeting at State House, Nakasero.

“The Cabinet and national taskforce on COVID-19 will meet tomorrow being Easter Monday. The President will guide the country thereafter,” Wanyama said Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, the President is expected to address the national at 12noon Tuesday.

According to Wanyama, the President will offer guidance I light of the COVID-19 pandemic and earlier guidelines.
