Magogo to contest for MP

FUFA President Engineer Moses Magogo will reportedly contest for Member of Parliament in one of the constituencies in Buyende district, where mother his reportedly lives or comes from.

Impeccable sources say in one of those football related meetings, President Yoweri Museveni told Magogo to consider contesting for a Parliament, a development that could see the FUFA boss even appointed the Sports Minister.

Further, the sources said who attended the meeting say Magogo agreed to Museveni’s suggestion, and as if to kick-start his political in the area, at the end of July Magogo paid a visit to his mother in Buyende, where he got a heroic welcome.

Meanwhile, Magogo’s choice could be Budiope East constituency currently represented in Parliament by Godfrey Dhamuzungu (NRM).

Sources however say, the FUFA boss is likely to contest on the NRM ticket (popular in the region) but is expected to meet stiff resistance from a one Dr. Aggrey Ngobi.
