Mbale City: Woman Dies in Guest House

 Mbale city: Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 24-year-old Mbale woman.

The young woman was discovered dead at a guest house on Sunday evening .

According to preliminary reports, the woman checked into the guest house in the morning accompanied by an unidentified man and hours later, around 1pm, the lodge staff discovered her lifeless body in the room and immediately alerted police.

He told police That he made attempts over a period of four hours to contact her, however, he did not receive a response.

Police arrived shortly afterwards and discovered the woman dead in the room.

The incident came to light at approximately 430pm, when police received reports about the death of the woman at the guest house located along Mbale Soroti road, Namakwekwe Ward,Mbale Northern City Division.

Preliminary findings reveal that the newly established guest house had been operating for just a few years, and lacked proper client registration records, as required by law.

In the meanwhile, the body of the deceased was by press time transferred to Mbale City General Hospital Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Authorities said investigations are still ongoing to determine the cause of death and gather additional facts surrounding the case and urged the public to remain calm as they work to uncover the details of this tragic incident.
