The police are holding Diana Njeri, 22, a Kenyan national and resident of Bunamaliro village, Bunashimolo parish, Bukiende sub-county in Mbale District for hacking her 3-week old daughter.
Investigators say Njeri hacked the deceased using a hoe on April 1, 2020 on an account of having a mental problem. The matter was reported to police by the child’s father, Afred Wakhasa, 52.
As a result, the police are holding her on charges of murder Vide CRB 677/2020 of CPS, Mbale while the deceased body is at Mbale Municipal Mortuary for postmortem.
