Mother, Son Die in House Fire

The police say the fire that gutted a house in Sekanusu Zone in Wobulenzi Town Council started at around 2am.

Two people were killed as a result.

They are Gladys Nabatanzi, 34 and her 12 year-old son.  Two others aged 5 and 3 have been rushed to Kirudu hospital in Kampala.

Regional Police spokesperson, Paul Kangave said preliminary reports show that the fire could have been caused by a short circuit due to poor connection.

“Our SOCCOs are still at the scene continuing with investigations,” Kangave said.
