Main core Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of the job is to ensure that the MTN UG IN systems/platforms (Charging, subscription management) are designed and dimensioned adequately and provide required flexibility to implement MTN products and services. The job holder will be required to design and implement MTN products and services as per business requirements

Prime responsibilities of the positions:

§ § Ensure MTN business requirements are gathered, implemented and supported by MTN UG IN/Charging network § Ensure efficient IN planning and system design § Prepare long-term evolution plans for IN § Participate in capacity planning and other inputs to CAPEX and budgeting § Ensure quality is embedded in all processes and activities for the section § Participate in design meetings with the business (marketing, EBU, etc.) and other IT stakeholders § Propose and document solutions for MTN products and services for products running on Ericsson IN and CIS (subscription). § Configurations on Ericsson IN and CIS (subscription) for consumer and EBU products § Configurations on Ericsson IN and CIS (subscription) for MOMO products § Act as higher-level escalation for customer complaints related to Ericsson IN and CIS products (data bundles, OTT, voice bundles, etc.) § Lead Architectural visioning and blueprinting in IN-VAS § Develops long-term IN/charging architectural strategy & ensures alignment of IT strategy and planning with company’s business goals. The applicant must possess the following; § First degree in any discipline preferably Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent § Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage. § 5 years’ work experience covering IN planning and operations within a Medium to Large Telco § Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous § Detailed working experience of IT governance and standards.
