Mumbere’s mother was my sister – Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has said Christine Biira Mukirania was her sister.

In a statement shared Wednesday afternoon via his official Twitter page, the President said: “Coming from the Basiita clan, she was my sister.”

He described the deceased as a key champion of peace & unity in Rwenzori region.

“The country will miss her,” he said.

Mukirania passed on Tuesday morning from Kilembe Mines Hospital in Kasese district.
