Investigators have entered day two of hunting for where Deo Mukisa dumped the body of his girlfriend whom he killed by poisoning.
Yesterday, detectives moved Mukisa to Lubigi Swamp in search of Shukra Namusoke’s body.
Mukisa had told detectives that he had dumped her body there.
However, upon combing the swamp in vain, Mukisa changed his mind, saying he dumped her body in Masaka.
Consequently, detectives last night traveled with Mukisa to Masaka to continue the search for the deceased’s body.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango has confirmed the development.
He said the search for Namusoke’s body is still on.
Namusoke, a mobile money agent, went missing three weeks ago.
Her whereabouts were unknown until Mukisa confessed to killing her after he was arrested on Wednesday for kidnapping and killing a 4-year boy, Elvis Kibuule.
Mukisa is said to have killed Namusoke after suspecting that she had huge sums of money in the house.
However, after killing her, he only found Shs250, 000.
Mukisa had kidnapped Kibuule on January 24, 2019 before demanding a ransom of shs500, 000.
After receiving the first installment, he sent the boy’s clothes to the parents. However, after Kibuule’s parents failed to raise the balance, he killed him.
He, on January 29, 2019 guided detectives to where he had dumped Kibuule’s lifeless body.
Mukisa is currently being held on the two murder charges.
