President Yoweri Museveni has left for Cape Town, South Africa to attend the 28th World Economic Forum on Africa peddled at discussing ways of Shaping Inclusive Growth and Shared Futures in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Economic Forum will kick off in Cape Town’s International Conference Centre where more than 1,000 World leaders, start-up founders, development experts, artists and activists arrive for the 28th World Economic Forum on Africa which runs from 4-6 September.
Heads of government, of industry, academics civil society leaders will be seeking new ways forward on some of the top challenges Africa faces, particularly: innovation, sustainable development, digitalization and governance, all under the summit’s theme ‘Shaping Inclusive Growth and Shared Futures in the Fourth Industrial Revolution’.
Participants will discuss ways to accelerate progress in five transformative pan-African agendas in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution of Strengthening governance and peace-building institutions, Scaling up financing solutions and improving delivery of hard and soft infrastructure.
They will also deliberate on increasing intra-African and value-added trade in global supply chains, Developing future-ready knowledge, tools and systems to reinvigorate manufacturing and Expanding innovative approaches to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
