Nambozo and her allies’ appointments can not scare & remove Lumolo from the district party position – Chairman Waninga

The appointments of Sironko woman member of parliament Florence Nambozo Mayoga Wamala to the position of state minister for Karamoja affairs and her two political allies Allan Wanambwa the political assistant (PA) and her driver Nabutewa Josua as assistant Resident commissioners (ARDCs) has nothing to scare or remove Hajji Sulaiman Lumolo Mafabi and his daughter from their political positions.

Recently president Museveni dropped Bududa woman MP Agnes Nandutu from the position of state minister for Karamoja affairs and passed it over  to a fellow Mumasaba the Sironko woman MP Nambozo Florence and later office for the presidency picked her(Nambozo) allies for assistant RDCs a move which some political analysts thought would weaken the gigantic NRM  long time serving district chairman Hajji Sulaiman Lumolo Mafabi from retaining his seat and the daughter Asha Nabulo  Mafabi’s political ambition to represent the people of Sironko as district woman MP come 2026.

However, the Buyobo sub county local council three (LC3) chairman Robert Waninga says that Nambozo’s and her allies’ political appointments can not scare and change the mindset of voters who know and understand that Lumolo is better than Nambozo.

“Their political appointments are nothing to the voters, what the local persons want are service delivery not political appointments that is why powerful ministers like our own Irene Muloni who was minister for energy lost in Bulambuli, in Buganda all powerful ministers lost to NUP and here in Sironko the issue a state minister is a small appointment that can not scare Lumolo and his daughter Asha Nabulo from winning their votes” Waninga said.

He said that the matter of political conflict of interest is all over the country. No one can fail his or her own child if the child opted for a political position the parent has to support, and when the parent supports people should understand it.

He added by giving an example of president Museveni’s own daughter who declared to contest in Ntungamu district, should the president refuse to support her because she is a daughter? Waninga asked.

According to Waninga, Nambozo can not manage to win against Lumolo for the district NRM chairperson and those appointed as assistant RDCs by virtue of their appointments they are politically NRm mobilisers who would be reporting to the chairperson and RDCs an issue that would help Asha Nabulo to retain her flag.

He says that when Asha retains her flag then the laws of the NRM party would apply on Nambozo’s allies to support the NRM flag bearer, here Nambozo would find it hard to win the next coming election 2026.

 Youth bitter with Nambozo         

To Gimei Cylan who left Nambozo’s camp says that the youths in Sironko are not happy with Nambozo after she reportedly sneaked in names to minister Milly Babalanda  of her own people who were already working as  her driver and bodyguard leaving may jobless and serious NRM mobilisers who could have been deployed for such slots.

“When we left Nambozo’s camp most people mistook us for anything else but now all voters in Sironko have seen how greedy one person is and now it is time we anonymously throw her politically out of Sironko come 2026” Gimei pointed out while speaking to the second opinion Publications.

He said that most youths are not happy and have vowed to vote out Nambozo come 2026 general elections because they prefer having a person who serves the district equally when it comes to service delivery and job distribution.

He said that the district had sent in names of Mulelenge Vaginia, Madoi Alex, Abdu Magambo, one Flavia Madoi Sam and many others but when news reportedly reached out on Nambozo while on her thanks giving function at Masaba SSS she allegedly abandoned the occasion and rushed to Kampala where after names were changed to put in her allies Josua and Allan on the list of the ARDCs.

Plan to remove NRM Admin Wambaka Sam

Information reaching our news desk indicates that plans to remove NRM administrator Sam Wambaka from Sironko are in high gear by the Nambozo camp on grounds that he was in charge at the previous election when she lost the flag.

A source disclosed to us that Nambozo and her camp have raised a lot of complaints against Wambaka Sam to the office of NRM electoral commission chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi many times demanding to tame Wambaka.

Nambozo to parade Lumolo captives

Meanwhile a mini function is in the offing to parade some of the captives from Lumolo’s camp by Nambozo and her allies soon.

According to insiders the parading function is reportedly sponsored by Nambozo’s husband henry Mayoga to try to show the public that although a mega group crossed from Nambozo to Lumolo led by Dison Balayo , Gimei cylan and others , they(Nambozo) also captured some Lumolo remnants  as to be paraded.
