New Generation Ford Raptor 2021 to revolutionize driving In Uganda

It was thrills and smiles as car lovers and other motor enthusiasts watched the magical power of the Ford Ranger Raptor 2021 which was launched on the Ugandan market at Busiika Extreme Adventure Park in Gayaza on Wednesday.

The monstrous ride’s immense abilities were displayed by rally champion Arthur Blick during an exhibition drive that left spectators overly thrilled and yearning for more flicks, jumps and turns from the super-efficient 2-Litre vehicle. At the launch organized by Ford franchise holders in Uganda, Cooper Motors Corporation (CMC), car enthusiasts got a real feel of the raptor which has been described as a next generation truck with high power, off-road, unique look, heavy, huge and high up with 35 inches off the ground.

Speaking at the launch, newly appointed CMC Country manager, Mark Davidson aka Prince Kizito, said the Ford Ranger Raptor is a product of the continuous innovation in the automotive industry with a particular bias to putting on the market cars that are both fuel efficient and friendly to the environment. “The new models come with environmentally friendly technologies, fuel economy and smaller engines. All these driving to support your various operations and businesses in various ways,” he said.

Davidson’s assessment of the Raptor was confirmed by Blick who, following the test-drive of the car, expressed utter shock at the Raptor’s speed and efficiency despite it being a mere 2-Litre engine vehicle.

“This is just awesome! This car has a top end performance, amazing ground-clearance and everything is just mind-blowing; in fact, it’s just too much for a two-litre,” he said.

Achraf El Boustani, the Managing Director Ford North Africa and Sub Saharan Africa said that with Ford Performance DNA at its core, the Ranger Raptor creates an entirely new breed of exceptionally capable off-road vehicles that pushes the limits in technology, innovation and driving excitement.

According to Richard Musani, the CMC Brand Manager Ford Uganda, the arrival of the Ranger Raptor heralds an exciting moment for off-road fans in the country.

“We are proud to be able to offer our customers the very best in the off-road performance with the launch of the amazing Ranger Raptor,” he said, adding, “With its incredible off-road credentials, aggressive looks and uncompromising capability, we can’t wait for our customers to experience the truck on home soil.”

Besides all the good things about the Ranger Raptor, the new generation has guaranteed safety.

All Ford Rangers come with a three-year warranty/100,000 KM, whichever comes first. The Ranger Raptor costs just US$80,000. It can however be acquired with a deposit of just 10% (US$800) thanks to a Ford Financing arrangement between CMC and Stanbic Bank.
