One person has been arrested following the kidnap and murder of two people; Maria Nagirinya, 28 who was until her death an Assistant Project Manager at Community Integrated Development Initiatives-CIDI, an NGO based in Muyenga and her driver, Ronald Kitayimbwa.
The pair was kidnapped on Wednesday night from Lungujja in Rubaga Division.
Their whereabouts remained unknown until Friday morning when some people reported dead bodies dumped in Mukono.
It was then that a team of police officers from CPS, Mukono moved to the scene.
An enforcement from KMP was recommended.
The two bodies were retrieved Friday afternoon and identified by their relatives.
Now, the police say they have in custody one person (name withheld) to help in investigation.
The police however confirmed investigating the double murder.
The motive of the killers remain unknown.
