KAMPALA
The NRM party has pledged to remain the most strong and liked party in the country because of its numerous good policies that have fostered development and economic emancipation among the citizenry.
The party has taken a deeper step to officially unveil its presidential candidate portrait and campaign slogan which marks the beginning of high level preparations for the forthcoming national elections slated for January 2026.
The party’s first national vice chairperson Alhaji Moses Kigongo and his secretary general Richard Todwong and the 2nd national vice chairperson Female CEC Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga jointly performed the brief colorful ceremony at the NRM headquarters plot 10 Kyadondo road in Kampala.
The theme of the campaign slogan is ‘Protecting the Gains, as the nation makes a qualitative leap into the middle income Status’.
The event was attended by all the district party chairpersons whom Kigongo urged to intensify efforts for canvassing grassroots support for their presidential candidate Rtd. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa within their districts.
He noted that they must cultivate a culture of respect, tolerance and discipline which are key drivers of winning over support from the masses.
The party secretary General Richard Todwong said the NRM was the only party capable of mobilizing millions of leaders across the country from the village to the top to vote and win the general election however it requires joint efforts and discipline among the candidates to achieve that milestone.
The 2nd national vice chairperson female [CEC] and minister for East African community affairs Rt.Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga who jointly with Kigongo and Todwong performed the unveiling ceremony told this website on the sidelines of the event that they want to consolidate the gains achieved so far and add more projects and programs like fixing the national road infrastructure Network to ease the movement of both goods and services.
She urged the NRM delegates to the CEC national conference to move forward and vote for her to retain her seat during the forthcoming CEC conference elections slated for 27th-28th August 2025 at Kololo independence grounds.
