One person has been confirmed dead after a truck carrying market vendors enroute Kakumiro crashed.
The incident, sources say happened at Lwentama along Mubende-Kakumiro road on August 30, 2019.
This after the FUSO truck registration number UAM 265Q rammed into a Toyota corolla number UAL 526P.
The truck was carrying businessmen and women heading for a market.
One person died on the spot while 20 sustained serious injuries.
The dead has been identified as Stella Nandege, 55, a resident of Municipality.
Her body is at the Mubende Hospital mortuary for postmortem while the injured are admitted at the same facility for treatment.
Regional Police spokesman Norbert Ochom confirmed the incident saying both vehicles have been towed and parked at Mubende Police Yard pending inspection.
The matter has been recorded at Mubende Police Station Vide TAR 53/2019 as hunt for both drivers continues.
