Pallisa: A group of notorious weed smoker youths in Pallisa town under their umbrella B13 were on Thursday delivered to Magidu Dhikusoka the area resident district commissioner for confession and rehabilitation.
The group was handed over to the RDC by the Palisa woman MP by Judith Amoit.
According to the woman, MP Amoit revealed that the boys aged between 13 and 22 were getting wasted in the corridors of industrial areas until she penetrated their leadership with a call to abandon weed smoking.
“Bwana RDC, these are some of the people you need to take care of and turn them to live a useful life” Said Amoit. .
On welcoming the weed smokers RDC Dhikusoka said that he would engage them in patriotic activities that will lead these youths to love one another and their country.
“Am handing you one million shillings as our contribution to help you start life and we shall continue monitoring you to see that the money was not wasted, misusing that money meaning shuttering your other opportunities”, RDC Pallisa Dhikusoka said.
The RDC added that the weed group had asked the concerned to buy for them car washing machines to help them kick start new life outside the ghetto world.
However Umar Sande the one in charge of recruitmenting the B13 said that people always mistake them as wasted and thieves but the police sniffer dogs always pick people who are not their members and have never come to look for any of their family members.
Sande said life in the ghetto is not the best but creativity makes them survive.
“We rap in dance halls and have our songs play on platforms , we have composed one for Amoit to prepare her for 2026”, he said.
George Omoding Oule the NRM chairperson said that he would involve these youth in the popularization of president Museveni’s candidature for 2026.
Oule said NRM is a free party which embraces everybody and in any NRM celebration they’ll be recognized.
“People fear these boys for nothing yet they associate freely other than the highly educated thieves who cause a disservice to our people because of their corruption practices”, Oule said.
Florence Acham, a resident of Kisenyi said she became scared to see the most feared group whom everybody in Pallisa town fears coming up openly to meet the RDC.
“They entered to the function of Pallisa town council where RDC was invited to preside over the handing over of an incubator , generator and deep freezer for poultry drugs like rebels, but were attentive to of all the people “Acham said.
