The two daredevil men who dramatically forced their way into Parliament’s Chamber on February 19, have been granted bail.
Identified as Mutaasa Kafeero and Dafaala Sekanjako, the two men jumped from the gallery into the Chambers, sending most legislators scampering for dear life.
They were later arrested by Parliament’s security team led by the Sergeant-at-Arms, and taken to Central Police Station before being arraigned before the City Hall court, and charged with criminal trespass and malicious damage to property by magistrate Fatyua Nabirye.
The two, who claimed they were tortured by security personnel before the arraignment, were released on a Shs1 million cash bail.
