Police Officer Discovered Dead in Barracks

The police are waiting for postmortem report to ascertain what exactly caused the death of their own, Police Constable M. Okiror.

An exclusive internal communication this news site has seen shows that Okiror, attached to Old Kampala Police Division was found dead in the house today morning.

“DPC Old Kampala announces death of PC Okiror M attached to Old Kampla. Found dead in his house in the barracks on 22nd. His body still in Mulago,” the message reads in part.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, Patrick Onyango’s known phone number to us was switched off by press time.

His deputy, Luke Owoyesigyire did not pick our repeated phone calls to him.

Okiror’s lifeless body is still at the Mulago Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
