Appearing on local radio, Capital FM on Sunday, singer Daniel Kazibwe alias Ragga Dee said he spent Shs2.5 billion in the last elections. Asked whether or not he was backed by his party, the NRM, Kazibwe said the party did not fund his campaigns.
“I did my own thing as Ragga Dee. The party didn’t know where I was coming from. Lord Mayor isn’t for the broke. You have 5 divisions,” he said. He said a lot of money is required on polling day.
“That’s when you lose money money. I had 1, 954 polling stations. You need three people per polling station. Each needs 35, 000 to guard votes. If you don’t pay them, don’t expect results,” he revealed.
Ragga Dee also declared his intention to run for the second time for the Lord Mayor office.
