The court battles dogging Uganda’s oldest institution is not about to end.
Latest is, suspended don, Dr. Deus Muhwezi Kamunyu has rushed to court challenging his suspension.
Court document we have seen indicates that Nawangwe is expected to file his defense within 15 days.
“..You are hereby required to file a Defense in the said suit within 15 days (Fifteen) days from the date of service of the summons on you in the manner prescribed under 0.9r.1 Civil Procedure Rules. SHOULD YOU FAIL to file the Defense on or before the date mentioned, the Plaintiff may proceed with the suit and judgment may be given in your absence…..” part of the summon dated January 24, 2019 reads.
Kamunyu was suspended on January 17, 2019 on allegations of misconduct.
