RESHUFFLE! UPDF Makes Huge Changes

The army has made changes in the top leadership of Bombo Military Barracks, this news site has learnt.

Col. Robert Mugabe has been named the Adjutant General. He replaces Col. CG Karugaba. Col. Karugaba, sources say has been sent to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a liaisons officer.

In fact, sources say Col. Mugabe on Tuesday officially took over from Col. CG Karugaba.

The function was presided over by Commandant General Headquarters (GHQs) Bombo Maj Gen Joram Kakari who hailed Col. Karugaba for the great work during his tenure.

“He displayed discipline during his time of service and he knew what to do both in good and bad situations which made his administration work easy,” Maj Gen Kakari said.

On his part, Col. Karugaba thanked the army leadership for his appointment to serve as a liaison officer.

He also reminded his successor that as an adjutant he’ll be the disciplinarian of officers and men of the cantonment together with the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM).

Col. Mugabe promised to execute his tasks diligently to build on what his predecessor has done. He encouraged discipline, truth, and open criticism in line with the core values of the UPDF.

The function was witnessed by commanders and heads of departments under GHQs Bombo among others.
