Days before April 12, 2019, Dr. Catherine Agaba is said to have reported to Hajj Ibrahim Kiwanuka (her landlord) that the guard was always not on alert.
And at 8:30pm, Ronald Obangakene attacked Agaba on her return home.
He beat her up before forcing her body into a septic tank.
The suspect then grabbed her keys which he used to steal from her house.
He then fled to Loro in Oyam district where he was arrested from on Easter.
“She was attacked inside the gate, by the local security guard, who accused her of threatening his job, when she reported him for not being alert on duty to his employers. He strangled her to death and dumped her body in the septic tank,” Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said Monday in a statement.
Obangakene is currently being detained at Kabalagala Police Division while Agaba’s body is at city mortuary for postmortem.
