REVEALED: Pilot in army chopper crash was training cadet officer

The pilot of a UPDAF Jet Ranger belonging to the army that crashed in Butambala on Tuesday morning was training a cadet officer.

We have established that Maj. Naomi Karungi was training Cadet Bernard Wakalu.

The army earlier confirmed that the pair were on a training mission.

Karungi and Wakalu were the only occupants of the chopper that went down killing all of them.

The army said, a probe to establish the cause of the accident is on.
