Son Held For Killing Father

The police are holding a 30-year old man for allegedly killing his father. Razario Turinawe is said to have killed his father identified as Stanasirasi Turyatemba using an iron bar. Those following investigation say he was helped by his two sisters whom he later abated their escape from arrest. Subsequently, he (Turinawe) was arrested to help in investigation. According to Turinawe’s statement recorded Vide SD 05/14//1/2019 of Buhara, he and his two sisters rose up against their father following his (deceased) continuous disturbance of family members after drinking alcohol. “Yesterday he came back somehow drunk and hit one of the daughters with an iron bar and out of anger, two of the daughters aged 18 and 16 years old got the same iron bar plus a hoe and severely cut him on the head and all over the body,” part of Turinawe’s statement reads. He was discovered unconscious today and as arrangements to take him for treatment were being made, he was pronounced dead. The Second Opinion has understood that the police have visited the scene together with the force’s surgeon and a postmortem exercise was carried out to ascertain the actual cause of death. Further investigations, according to Kigezi regional police spokesman, Elly Matte is being carried out.
