Standard Chartered Manufacturers’ Business Forum will take place tomorrow Tuesday at Mestil Hotel in Kampala, according to the bank’s head of marketing and corporate communications, Cynthia Mpanga.
The forum themed “Practices for Sustainable Business Growth” will bring together the latest research on important and policy-relevant topics, subject matter experts and leading manufacturing businesses to deliberate on current trends affecting business growth in Uganda. “Our aim is to provide a platform for market players to share forward-looking insights and best practices and address challenges facing businesses,” Ms Mpanga says.
Executives from various manufacturing entities in Uganda are expected to attend the event that comes when Uganda has embarked on the journey of industrialization, with a number of factories/industries numbering over 4000.
Eva Wanjika Otieno, Strategist for Standard Chartered Bank, Africa will give an insight into the issues to be discussed.
Mrs Otieno focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa’s (SSA) foreign exchange, local and hard currency debt markets and communicates the recommendations to local and external stakeholders. She contributes to different discussion panels and thought leadership events. She also provides economic insights to various media channels including Bloomberg and contributes opinion pieces to various publications.
