Swearing-In Message: 12th Parliament of Uganda (2026–2031)

Swearing-In Message
12th Parliament of Uganda (2026–2031)

Dear fellow Ugandans, His Excellency the President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa, Honourable Members-elect, and all patriots of our beloved motherland,

Tomorrow, as I, Hon. Princess Persis Namuganza, take the sacred oath as the duly elected Member of Parliament for Bukono County, I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude, resolve, and unshakeable faith in the future of Uganda.
This is not merely a personal milestone, it is a solemn covenant with the people of Bukono, with every Ugandan, and with the legacy of the liberation struggle.

The men and women who went to the bush under President Museveni did not sacrifice their lives so that corruption could continue to eat away at our institutions. They fought for a sovereign, disciplined, and prosperous Uganda , and today, I renew that same fight from the floor of Parliament.

I swear before God and the people of Uganda that I will serve with integrity, courage, and absolute loyalty to the nation. I will never bow to the forces of corruption, impunity, or betrayal. I will stand, as I have always stood, for a Parliament that respects every Member, restores discipline, upholds transparency, and aligns with the highest international standards of governance.

To His Excellency the President: thank you for your visionary leadership and for the bold steps you continue to take in uprooting corruption. We are with you. The new term has begun with hope, and together we shall ensure that the 12th Parliament becomes a House of honour, not a den of thieves.

To the people of Bukono and all Ugandans: this is our moment. Let us unite, speak truth to power, and demand a Parliament that serves the people, fights corruption without fear, and delivers real development. The cancer of corruption ends here. The era of silence is over.

Tomorrow, when I raise my hand and take the oath, know that I am not just swearing in as your MP, I am recommitting my life to the total transformation and cleansing of our Parliament for the glory of Uganda.

Long live the Republic of Uganda
Long live His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa!
Long live the 12th Parliament

With fire in my soul and love for my country,
Hon. Princess Persis Namuganza
Member-elect, Bukono County
Aspirant for Speaker of the 12th Parliament
