Talk that Bobi Wine has overshadowed me is a misplaced concept – Besigye

Ex-opposition Form for Democratic Change Presidential candidate Dr. (RTD) Col Kizza Besigye has said talks that Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has overshadowed him is rather a misplaced concept.

Besigye was appearing on BBC Focus last evening when he said the struggle he is part of is not one for leadership but rather to free Ugandans.

“It’s rather a misplaced concept. The struggle that is going on is not a struggle for leadership. The contestation that is going on is for liberation, so that the country can be truly under the control of citizens. There is interaction between all the fighters for freedom to regain that freedom,” said.

Recenty, Besigye’s team and that of Bobi Wine met and agreed to a ‘cease fire’.
