The Uganda Aids commission [UAC] launched the aids awareness month with the unveiling of the torch which would be taken around all the country’s regions driving support and awareness to end the Hiv Aids pandemic by 2030.
The official national launch ceremony also saw the official unveiling of the six-man bickers crew who would ride alongside the display of the torch as part of the awareness campaign.

Dr. Senyonyi outlined the numerous achievements attained so far made by the commission and urged the citizens to rally behind the commission and government in ensuring that we collectively as a country end the pandemic by 2030 as projected by the United Nations general assembly through WHO.

The torch would pass through major cities including Mbale, Gulu, Mbarara and finally Bushenyi the national venue for the 2025 World Aids Day celebrations at which UAC officials would hand over the torch to the president.
