Ugandan government is expected to handover the body of Rwandan national killed while crossing into Uganda last week.
John Batista Kyerengye’s will be handed over by a team led by the Deputy Inspector General of police Sabiiti Muzeeyi today.
Government spokesman, Ofwono Opondo confirmed the development.
“Uganda will tomorrow at Katuna border Kabale handover the body of John Batista Kyerengye, a Rwandan citizen shot dead on Friday by a Rwanda soldier while attempting to cross into Uganda. DIGP Sabiiti Muzeeyi will represent Uganda,” Ofwono said.
Kyerengye was killed Friday by Rwanda security after he allegedly smuggled goods in to Uganda. He was killed along with Ugandan, Alex Nyesiga.
