Uganda’s COVID-19 Death Toll Rises To 12 as Kampala Registers 10 New Cases

Uganda’s Ministry of Health has Friday afternoon confirmed one new COVID-19 death.

According the statement issued by the ministry, the deceased is a 65-year old Ugandan, male and resident of Kampala Metropolitan Area. He was admitted at Nsambya Hospital and later transferred to China-Uganda friendship Hospital, Naguru after developing signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

However, he passed on Thursday.

Results from the laboratories confirmed COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 13 people have tested positive in KMP. These, out of 32 new cases conformed Friday.

Other cases are from Mbale, Luweero, Hoima and Kagadi.  Thursday results are out of 4, 289. This brings Uganda’s COVID-19 cases to 1, 385 with 1,142.
