URA: Board Names Kateshumbwa Replacement

The board of Uganda Revenue Authority has Wednesday replaced fired Dickson Kateshumbwa and two others.

In a notice to all staff, Patience Rubagumya, the Board Secretary named Abel Kagumire as Commissioner Customs. Others are; Richard Kariisa (Commissioner Corporate Services) and John Tinka Katungwensi (Assistant Commissioner Large Taxpayers’ Office).

The appointments, according to Rubagumya, followed the 4th/2020 meeting of the board of directors held Wednesday.

The appointees are expected to start work September 1, 2020.

Interviews for Assistant Commissioner positions are to be held Friday, according to the Board.
