In its efforts to attract more tourists into the country, Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) continues to hunt for all platforms that can help the country promote its tourism industry and bring in tourists who bring in the much needed foreign exchange.
UTB is currently exhibiting at the Vakantiebeurs,-in Utrecht in The Netherlands where several tourism and travel agencies are showcasing their products and services. Vakantiebeurs is Holiday Fair Trade Day that spans 50 years now.
UTB’s Marketing Manager Edwin Muzahura is heading the marketing team staff that travelled to the Netherlands and is calling for visitors to come to Uganda’s allocated stall. Travel professionals from all over the world are expected to give latest travel trends to potential clients during the many knowledge sessions at the fair. There are various theaters spread throughout the exhibition floor, where inspiring presentations, demonstrations and fun workshops take place throughout the day.
The Vakantiebeurs is the fair in the field of vacations. From a day trip in one’s own country to an adventurous journey on the other side of the world. The 2019 Holiday Fair attracted 103,312 visitors.
