ANNET ANITA AMONG

Parliament has begun employing staff for political offices, including the Speaker’s Office, on renewable two-and-a-half-year contracts.

The move marks a return to the previous employment model, under which staff in political offices leave when the political leaders they serve leave office.

The current arrangement replaces the system introduced under former Speaker Anita Annet Among (AAA), which made such positions permanent and pensionable.
