“We are Proud of You our King” UJU President Nalule conveys message to His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda on his Coronation Anniversary.

 Uganda Journalists Union (UJU) President, Ms. Evelyne Nalule hailed the King, (Kabaka) of Buganda his Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi 11 for his excellency services to the Baganda, Uganda and world over during his 33rd years on the throne.

This was contained in Evelyne Nalule’s warmest congratulatory message to His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, on his historic Coronation Anniversary. “As Uganda Journalists Union, we join the people of Buganda and all well-wishers across the globe in celebrating your visionary leadership, which continues to drive peace, unity, and socio-economic transformation across our country” Nalule said in her message.

She said that as a legacy of national impact her Journalists Union recognizes the profound, positive impact the Buganda Kingdom continues which it  makes toward the growth of Uganda, through strategic leadership, the Kingdom has uplifted millions of citizens across various sectors:

Ms Nalule also pointed out issues of Public Health Leadership where she observed that Buganda kingdom is in the lead of Championing critical healthcare through the annual Kabaka Birthday Run to fight sickle cell and HIV/AIDS, alongside massive kingdom-wide blood donation drives.

On  educational advancement, Nalule said that he Kingdom  provides  thousands of bursaries through the Kabaka Education Fund and establishing premier institutions like Mutesa I Royal University. She also brought out the issue of economic empowerment where Buganda is transforming rural livelihoods through the Emmwanyi Terimba (Coffee is Rewarding) initiative, boosting household incomes and national agricultural exports.

Without forgetting tourism and heritage Nalule hailed the Kabaka for  preserving world-class historical sites like the Kasubi Tombs, which anchor Uganda’s cultural tourism industry. While on social cohesion she revealed that Buganda acts  as a welcoming socio-cultural hub that fosters peace, cross-cultural integration, and unity among diverse communities in Uganda. Under Ms. Nalule’s leadership, the press remains a vital partner in amplifying these life-changing initiatives. The Uganda Journalists Union applauds the open relationship between the Kingdom and the media.
