Death Toll in Collapsed Kansanga Building Rises to 14

14 people have been confirmed dead following a building that collapsed early Sunday morning.

In the latest figure, four more people have been recovered from the rubble between Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

According to Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesman, Luke Owoyesigyire, the dead are at the city mortuary while the injured are at Mulago Hospital for treatment.

Earlier, eyewitnesses said the construction workers had been staying at the doomed construction building in line with the Presidential guidelines to combat the spread of COVID-19.
