Amos Matsiko Threatens to Petition President Museveni over   Malpractices at  the Rushere Town Council NRM Mayoral Elections

Amos Matsiko, one of the five candidates in the 14^th August 2025b   Rushere town council Mayoral elections in Nyabushozi constituency Kiruhura district has threatened to petition the NRM party boss Gen.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni over acts of gross  malpractices.

Matsiko told this website at the Kyadondo plot 13 based NRM party election offices that he had never witnessed an election marred with gross malpractices in his life and wants the tribunal to declare him the winner.

‘I want the district registrar to declare me winner or less and am ready to petition the party chairman for action because malpractices only underline the integrity of the NRM party’ he noted. 

He criticized the reported involvement of security officers in the electoral process saying it was illegal and grossly affected the outcome of the general election results of which he was the winner.

He cautioned that if justice is not delivered in his favor, he would have no choice but seek the intervention of the party chairman and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni because justice must prevail for the good of the party.  

Matsiko expressed concern that his agents at the hospital cell which is his birth place were roughed up by security operatives which incident affected his performance and also criticized his opponents for reportedly preaching sectarianism and tribalism which messages are not good for the party’s political agenda.
