Dr. (Phd) James Musinguzi the Executive Directir of Uganda wildlife authority has called on the public to go and visit selected national parks during the free open park days which kick started on 25th September 2025.

Speaking during his separate tours at different national parks to access how the public have responded on the free open park days Dr. Musinguzi encouraged the public both locally and foreign to go and enjoy the UWA open park days.
“Am calling the members of the public especially natives and foreigners to come and use this opportunity to see wonderful wildlife, the beautiful botany, ambiance at the parks, reptiles and the birds in Uganda” Musinguzi said.

The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) offers free entry to select national parks for Ugandan and East African citizens, as well as foreign residents, during its annual “Open Park Days”. This promotion is typically held in September to coincide with World Tourism Day.
