At Otravu village in Maracha District 03rd August 2025 memories surround and thousands of people from West Nile can’t hold back their tears as an 88 years old Priscilla Abiria the biological mother of Hon. MP Atima Lee Jackson Buti was laid to rest.
She truly was a best friend to many, someone who could confide in.
She had a tender touch, warm and gentle grin legacy left behind that was taught to her son MP Atima Lee Jackson Buti.
During her decent send off hundreds of mourners showered praises to the resting mother while others asked people to emulate her.
However, below is a full message of heartfelt appreciation to all members of the public dignitaries and other mourners from the grieved family of MP Atima Lee Jackson.

Distinguished guests, esteemed leaders, and dear friends,
The family of Hon Atima Jackson Lee Buti would like to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who came to mourn with us and escort us as we laid our beloved mother, Priscilla Abiria, to rest in Otravu, Maracha district.
We are particularly grateful to the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Parliament for their financial and material support rendered, presence, and words of comfort during this difficult time. Your leadership and support mean a great deal to us, and we are touched by your kindness.
To the Government Chief Whip, we appreciate your financial support and condolences. Your presence all through my mother’s sickness was a testament to the strong bonds of leadership and friendship that we share.
To the Ministers especially Hon Obiga Mario Kania the state minister of (Lands Housing and Urban Development) and Members of Parliament, your presence was a source of strength and comfort to us. We thank you for standing with us during this challenging time.
To the NRM Party Representatives led by Hajat Medina Naham (Director of Finance and Administration) and the PLU family, your solidarity and support are invaluable to us. We appreciate your presence and words of encouragement.

To the Mothers’ Union, we thank you for your prayers, support, and condolences. Your spiritual guidance and motherly love have been a source of comfort to us.
To the Archdeacon of Maracha, we appreciate your spiritual leadership and support during this difficult time. Your words of comfort and prayers have brought us peace and solace.
To the business community, we thank you for your support and condolences. Your contributions to our community are significant, and we are grateful for your kindness.
To the lovely people of Arua City and Maracha District, your warmth and hospitality towards our family have been overwhelming. Your presence and messages of condolence have brought us strength and solace.

To our friends and relatives, your love and support have been a constant source of comfort. Your presence at the funeral and burial service was a demonstration of the strong family ties and friendships that we cherish.
We are touched by the show of solidarity from individuals across all political parties. Your presence transcended political divides, and we appreciate the gesture.
Special thanks to the security personnel and organizers who ensured the smooth conduct of the funeral and burial service.

To everyone who came to pay their last respects to our mother, we thank you for standing with us in these trying moments. Your presence will forever be etched in our memories, and we are grateful for your kindness.
Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. May the soul of our mother rest in eternal peace. We shall forever be grateful for your love, support, and kindness. Thank you for being there for us during this difficult time.

Mama Prisilla Abiria was 0n the 27th July 1937 tothe Late Ajuni
Kurinalio and Late Kezia Adroko of Lamila Roti Clan, ndruvu in
Lamila Ward, Okokoro Town council, Maracha District. She was
she first born of her parents, she is survived by 3 sisters Onziru
Zena, Candiru Leah and Anderu Ketty and a brother Eyotre Yuda,

BIOGRAPHY OF MAMA PRISILLA ABIRIA
BORN ON 27TH JULY 1937 AND DIED ON 29TH JULY 2025
EDUCATION
Mama Prisilla Abiria: in 1958 she got married to a Church
teacher the Late Dramabuti Elijah in a church wedding and
God blessed them with five Children namely; Ondoma Charles,
Maturu Milly, Bako Grace Ezayo, Atima Jackson Buti Lee and
Afimani Johnson. God has taken two and three of the children
are still alive. She also has 18 grand children.
FAMILY
Mama Prisilla Abiria and her late husband dedicated their
lives to serving God in various churches. After retiring at the
Maracha Archdeaconry, Mama Priscilla’s legacy shines through
her multifaceted roles: Advisor, Counselor, and Educationist.
She laid the groundwork for fundraising initiatives, was a
devoted mother, and a treasure trove of knowledge and
history. As a successful businesswoman, she pioneered the
sale of porridge and trained children to be multi-skilled. Her
impact extended beyond her family, as she mentored those
around her to love God wholeheartedly and condemned
selfishness in all its forms.”
Mama Prisilla Abiria gave her life to Jesus Christ in 1952 and
has been faithful, God fearing, Loving, Generous, Hardworking
and teacher/ Counsellor to fellow woman to be good mothers
