The police has put a ban on officers going on leave.
According to a notice dated December 10, 2019, no officer will be allowed to go on leave between December 16, 2019 and January 6, 2019.
The argument is that officers will be required to be on constant watch.
“..All officers will be required to be on standby. Unit commanders are required to enforce the embargo,” part of the notice signed by ACP Emmanuel Muheirwe reads.
